My wife and I will be there. I don't care how much the tickets are. Gouge me.
I am almost certain Petty has never played in Arkansas. He scheduled and then canceled a show in Pine Bluff because of poor ticket sales. (Remember when there were lots of rock shows at the PB Convention Center; have seen Eric Clapton, Robert Palmer, the Allman Brothers and Leon Russell there). I had a ticket to see him at the Orpheum in Memphis when "Breakdown" was his only hit and skipped it -- the ticket was $1.03 because Rock 103 put it on -- to study for a test in college. I'll be there this time!
