Saturday: Stella Luss, Thick Syrup show, Bike & Hike to Defeat ALS

Little Rock's Stella Luss blends contemporary rock sounds with classic rock influences. The band plays an album release show for its record "Chasing Dragons." It's an 18-and-older show at Stickyz, 9 p.m.

Thick Syrup Records hosts another Summer 2012 comp show, with Bloodless Cooties, Color Club and Ventrikills, Maxine's, 8 p.m., $5 adv., $7 door.

Bike & Hike to Defeat ALS is a fundraiser event that starts at 7 a.m. at the River Trail Station in North Little Rock. Ride out to Pinnacle, then hike up the east side and head back to the station for an after party. You can also hike only, starting at 9 a.m. on the east side of Pinnacle. It's $35 to register for the bike and hike, $25 for the hike only and $15 for anyone younger than 18. Register here.
