Duck Dynasty's 'Mountain Man' starter for 2014 World's Shortest St. Pat's Parade in Hot Springs

Tim Guraedy, known only as "Mountain Man" on TLC's big hixplotation hit "Duck Dynasty," will be the official starter of the 2014 Hot Springs' World's Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 17, 2014, organizers announced today. See the video primer above if you don't know who the hell Mountain Man is. Comedian Jim Belushi will serve as the Grand Marshal of the 11th annual parade, which runs along 98-foot-long Bridge Street near Bathhouse Row.

Now in its fourth season, Duck Dynasty has been a runaway hit for TLC, spawning legions of fans and millions of dollars in merchandising. The 2013 season premier of "Duck Dynasty" on Aug. 14 drew 1.8 million viewers — the largest ever for a reality show on cable. While it's probably more "scripted reality" than plain ol' reality, the show ostensibly follows the adventures of the Robertson clan of Monroe, La., a family of bearded, rough and tumble outdoorsmen who made a fortune from pater familias Phil Robertson's innovative duck call, which forms the basis for their family business, Duck Commander in Monroe, La.

Mountain Man, a bearded, slow-talking air conditioner repairman and neighbor to the Robertsons, is one of the only recurring characters on the show who isn't a Duck Commander employee or member of the Robertson family. He also hosts a weekly radio show on a Monroe radio station.
