I caught up with Lt. Gov. Mark Darr just now and he told me that he had not embarrassed himself "at all" by signing a bill while the governor was out of town, an action that drew the ire of Gov. Mike Beebe.

I live in the AR River Valley with the two best dogs in the world. I have two grown sons. I've lived in the same small town where I was born most of my life. I work at home, which gives me plenty of time to visit the blog. A very quiet life. I miss my sons. The chocolate Lab in my avatar, Pete, unfortunately died several years ago, and I will miss him forever.

Well, back in Little Rock for one full day. Here's my return open line, including: * SPANKING FOR JESUS: I ignored the news that the wacky Pat Robertson had endorsed spanking disobedient wives, citing the familiar Biblical support for wifely submission to their husbands.
