The Politico - "How to Back Hillary Into a Corner" -

"The Clintons have always made a habit of courting their most talented tormenters" ...

Baloney. It's a racket with the filthy hacks who do political consulting for money.

I'm letting my pot of chili simmer a while longer, because I added a couple of cans of chili beans to it.

Don't believe those Texans who say don't use beans. I'm a native of Travis County - and it's totally okay to add some beans to the chili.

Re: “'Crosscheck' voter system turns up Leslie Rutledge as possible double voter

LivingFree - I have cited the language on the voter registration form in the District of Columbia - which requires a sworn declaration from the registrant, disclaiming the right to vote elsewhere under penalty of perjury - in plain English.

If you can't understand plain English - yield sir, I have the advantage.

Re: “Open line, news headlines, a gun battle and an endorsement

NVR - Senator Pryor was a reliable supporter of military action in Afghanistan and Iraq years ago, but he was wrong about intervention against ISIL and Syria recently. The Wesley Clark endorsement will have nearly zero effect on the election.

I'm hoping that Senator Pryor is reelected, but concerned he is relying on the wrong advisors for his campaign.

It's October 30th, so I hereby declare that chili-cooking season is open. I'm cooking a pot of chili now.

Re: “Republican senator continues push to privatize Arkansas prison unit

As a civil society, our state should bear the burden of criminal justice. I'm fully in favor of incarcerating violent criminals like rapists, murderers, street thugs, etc. - and subjecting the worst to capital punishment - at our expense.

But spending hundreds of millions of dollars to outsource a private prison to incarcerate prisoners for possessing a speck of meth? That is an idiotic waste of public funds, especially for simple possession where no minors or commercial transactions were involved - although people are commonly sent to prison for that reason. As a result, the violent criminals are discharged through the revolving door - then return after more heinous crimes.
