Re: “Open line: Anti-background check Mark Pryor confronted by father of Connecticut shooting victim

Seatbelts and airbags and antilock brakes don't save lives every time so, yeah, they're not worth the cost either. Douchebag. Grow a pair, stand up for what is right, not expedient.

Re: “Saturday night live

Mountaingirl... as I understand it, Gauldin is a felon, so to shoot yourself is pretty good evidence of a felon in possession of a firearm, albeit temporarily.

Having the right to speak means you also have to accept the consequences of your speech.

Re: “UPDATE: Nate Bell shoots from lip on Boston violence; Speaker Carter apologizes for him; Bell apologizes for 'timing'

I always wondered what a douchebag looked like. Now I know.

Re: “UPDATE: Bill would end nursing home wrongful death lawsuits

Wrongful death is a creature of statute. It did not exist in the common law (back in the ole days, you died, so did everything with you). We (Americans) had to invent this law and therefore as a statute, it is amendable and revokable. A wrongful death case is not guaranteed by the constitution. So technically, the Courts could not throw this out. We'd all just have to suck it up. What a wonderful world we live in. No one has to be responsible for anything, especially the rich. Sickening.
