The guy is out of his mind. Nominating him for the Senate is one way the Republicans can guarantee Pryor is re-elected. It's about the only way, come to think of it.
Eh, it doesn't matter whether or not we educate students, as long as the rich folks get another tax cut! We don't need doctors, pharmacists, vets, or dentists. We just need more check-out clerks at Wal-Mart!
It's great when someone defending his home-schooling abilities makes a post full of spelling and grammatical errors. Just saying.
I saw the play last weekend. The players do a fantastic job.
Sorry, Mr. Collins, but when you attempt to make an elected representative do what you want under the threat of violence, that speech is not protected by the First Amendment. And it seems to be regular Republican policy now--the entire party seems to think that the purpose of the Second Amendment was so that if you don't like what the legally elected government of the United States is doing, you can rebel against it. I'm reasonably certain that's not what the Founders had in mind--you know, they made all those provisions for voting folks out of office and whatnot. And there was a time when those on the losing end of an election would lick their wounds and go to work to better the country. But Conservative/Tea Party/Republicans all over the country persist in waving their guns at the rest of us, telling us that they'll overthrow the government, or secede, or go out with guns blazing if we don't all do what they want. If you can see that, and won't disavow it, then you're part of the problem, and I can't imagine that any intelligent, patriotic American could cast a vote in your direction.
Pavel's right.
Today's news makes me think that there's nothing worse than assholes who cause widespread heartache and suffering to prove some ideological point. Of course, I'm talking about the Arkansas state legislature.
What are *you* looking at?
