  • Daily Show ridicules John Boozman on climate change

The Daily Show held climate deniers up to ridicule Thursday night and those skewered included Arkansas Sen. John Boozman, whose denial including citing his optometrist creds in his scientific view of the issue. Which leads to a little climate change eye exam by Jon Stewart.

  • CBS blows it on Beghazi

The comic figure of the braggart soldier first appears in Plautus's play "Miles Gloriosus" in roughly 200 BC, although the Roman dramatist acknowledged a now-lost Greek model. So it's surprising that somebody who's spent as much time in war zones as "60 Minutes' " Lara Logan failed to recognize the type: a swaggering, self-anointed hero describing military feats nobody witnessed but him.

Re: “Students complain Poyen teacher breastfeeding in classroom

LMAO at people who get their drawers in a twit on such natural acts. Lets push the envelope and encourage mothers to start breast feeding at church services to test whether or not religious institutions really care for humans beyond the wet dream/fetus stage.

AIRMEN WHO ENLIST OR REENLIST IN THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE WILL NO LONGER HAVE TO SAY THE PHRASE “SO HELP ME GOD” AS PART OF A REQUIRED OATH, THE AGENCY ANNOUNCED ON WEDNESDAY. ACCORDING TO USA TODAY, THE AIR FORCE FACED PRESSURE TO CHANGE THE POLICY FROM THE AMERICAN HUMANIST ASSOCIATION, WHICH THREATENED TO SUE THEM ON BEHALF OF AN AIRMAN WHO WAS NOT ALLOWED TO REENLIST BECAUSE HE WOULD NOT SAY THE PHRASE. THE AIR FORCE ALLOWED THOSE WHO TOOK THE OATH TO OMIT THE PHRASE UNTIL LATE LAST YEAR, BUT

Re: “Arkansas State defends removal of cross decals from football helmets; but players may choose to have them

Thanks Norma for your comments! Not absolutely sure but I believe the AF, or AF academy, has deleted "so help me god" from oath of re enlistment for those who don't want to swear it!

Religion shouldn't be forced -- if it holds value or truth it doesn't have to be and therein lies the problem!

Re: “Opportunistic Republicans run for cover on minimum wage issue

Of interest is minimal wage in Demark is $21 per hr; Austria $15.81; France $12.35; Germany $11.0; Versus US's $7.25.

Aren't we proud? Makes me tingle all over.

Re: “Today's video headlines and an open line; plus more Tomfoolery by Cotton. A cold heart for a cold day.

You won’t believe just how dangerous and extreme Cotton’s positions are. Make sure you know what we’re up against, then help us spread the word by sharing with your family and friends.

1. Tom Cotton doesn’t believe women deserve equal pay for equal work.

When Congressman Tom Cotton had the opportunity to support pay equity legislation, he voted no. In fact, Cotton went out of his way to say he opposes paycheck fairness for women, even though a recent study showed that women in Arkansas earn just 77 cents for every dollar earned by a man. It's even worse for African American women (66 cents) and Latina women (53 cents).

2. Tom Cotton said a woman's greatest fear in life is being left by her man.

Cotton also argued that women can't handle divorce, saying they will, quote, “slide into…material indigence and emotional misery.”

3. Tom Cotton doesn’t believe women can serve in combat units because of their “nature.”

Yep. He actually said that.

4. Tom Cotton voted against the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) - not once, but twice.

Not only did Cotton oppose the bipartisan version of VAWA, but he also voted against the watered-down Republican version of the bill.

Control of the entire U.S. Senate could come down to a small handful of votes in Arkansas. If we lose Mark Pryor in Arkansas, we’ll lose our Democratic Senate majority and Tom Cotton will be able to implement his reckless and irresponsible agenda to turn back the clock on women’s rights.

Right now, the polls are tied. But in the last fundraising quarter, Cotton beat us. We cannot let that happen again.

Help stop Cotton and the GOP Senate takeover.
