The problem was explained in the article, but it did use a couple of big words...
The people behind this are not at all concerned with making sure only eligible voters vote. They know that their base is, by and large, more able and likely to have the documents. So anyone that they can keep out is likely to be on the other side, and therefore means more votes for them. It is cold, calculated math; there is no real problem with people voting illegally in this manner. And yet, I have heard no great outcry from the Republicans to monitor absentee vote counting following the discovery of a Republican that was filling out any blanks with Republican votes (can't remember if it was Washington or Oregon). Republicans are all for democracy, as long as the vote goes their way. If not, they seek other options.
Outlier, the young man behind the 3-D printer plans for magazines and guns is an Arkansas boy. I knew him fairly well a few years ago, until his high school graduation. I do believe he's gone off the deep end since.
Cotton's attitude is typical of how Republicans feel about democracy in general, foreign and domestic. It's great as long as the vote goes their way, but if not, it's time to cage and disenfranchise at home or start a revolution abroad. A lot of our problems internationally stem from this. Were I an Iranian whose family members were tortured and killed by our friend, the Shah's, CIA-trained Savak, I'd probably hate the US, too. Though I'm not a fan of Chavez, he was democratically elected, and legitimately popular with a large segment of the population, so for Cotton to call for democracy there is asinine.
With the major suckage involved in having former gov Huckabee and current gov Scott in the same state, is it any wonder that it extends to the very ground?
When trying to appear educated & informed, it helps to be able to spell "certiorari".
I'm pretty much in the middle on this debate, but don't comprehend the refusal of the lunatic fringe to acknowledge the "well regulated" portion in any way.

Somebody could make a fortune around here by opening one of these (except those over 350 lbs eat free-they might have to amend that to be profitable).
