Re: “Stormy morning: Shoffner, hospitals, abortion

CBB, Cole was interviewed this morning on NPR, and he said that he had, indeed, voted FOR Hurricane Sandy relief, and he is sure--and the President has assured him--that the country will come through for his state.

Re: “Monday night's Pomp and Circumstance open line

I'm having a hard time discerning any parents or other spectators in that Imboden graduation photo, unless they are all in the bleachers left and right and just weren't included in the crop (assuming that's a basketball court).

Re: “The Tuesday night line

Oh, I think that was Neumeier's, Durango, but that was after my time in Russellville. I left in 1968 and have only visited now and then. I did eat there maybe a couple of times.

Re: “The Tuesday night line

eLood and Durango, are you thinking of Al's Snack Bar? I don't know who "Al" was, but by the time we moved back to Russellville in 1962, it was owned and operated by my Uncle Ralph and Aunt Louise. My Dad helped out a little with the cooking before he opened his own place at the other end of town, and I worked there from time to time when I was in college as a dishwasher and emergency carhop. Everyone loved the fresh-cut curly fries.

Re: “Charge dropped in hit-and-run case; new suspect arrested

Excellent story, Citizen1. Glad you learned a valuable life lesson at such an early age.

Wow! It's spooky how closely the two mugshots (on the KATV link from radcen) resemble each other. Not sure I could tell them apart in person.
