*Real* fact checking would correlate some votes or bills with the seating. What did Prissy Hickerson do to cross the You of A that she gets stuck with East-side seating at both stadiums and practically sits with the visitors and their band in LR??? Shepherd of El Dorado and Fireball Holland also get the shaft both places (along with others). But Lamoureux and Hendren get choice seats in both. Have they carried water for the You (or done any legislative favors for any board members)???
I'm shocked at how poor the seats are. Thought legislators got better than end-zone seats.
This will be a big issue for the Foundation IMO. If the priority-seating contribution is a gift, then it is part of the intrinsic value of the seats (which, of course, it really is). But if the 40-yeard-line seats really "cost" more then the "donation" isn't tax deductible.
Some of us might call this the free market at work. Maybe Tolbert will look at the Democrats reports. It's all good. From the other side of the aisle, kudos to Matt.
Dreaming of a day when Matt outs Shoffner and Bookout and Tolbert outs Darr and Hutchinson, but for now the checks and balances of party competition will have to suffice.
Can we get BHR to focus on Jeremy Hutchinson for a while???
If you conclude the "donation" (not made) is a benefit to these officials then you have really concluded that the donation is part of the ticket price. (Okay, so it does quack like a duck - stay with me.) If the donation is part of the ticket price, it is no longer a donation and therefore no longer tax deductible. Follow this far enough in pursuing these officials and you are meddling with the very underpinning of the Razorback Foundation itself.
And Hutchinson should hold the door for Darr as they both leave. Young Hutch spent more than $2,000 on his mistress and lied about it on his reports. That's personal use of funds and perjury. (Doesn't that cost you a law license?)
Wow, Razor, you've driven me to agreement with Max. The amount could only be said to matter if there truly were one or two "mistakes" and the amount made it more understandable to overlook. Fundraising supplies from the Apple Store? From Pilot and Kum&Go? If Darr bought gas for travel to a fundraiser he should break out a mileage charge for only the miles traveled to raise money, not expense the whole tank of gas. As far a "a thousand bucks" I see more like two grand on just two pages. Looks like Darr should go. At the very least - quoting the great philosopher Ricky - Darr's "got some 'splaining to do"!
