Sim's BBQ in Little Rock has to be the most overrated place in the state.
It was disgusting. Mystery meat with a green sauce and a slice of white bread.
I looked at it. Poked at it. Looked at the dining companion and said, "Let's go to Corky's. It can't be any worse than this stuff." Got up and left.
I don't get the fascination with Sims. (Along with HAM in Hillcrest but we're talking about barbecue, right?)

tfarchsa,
A Republican President nominated Robert Bork. Another Republican President nominated Clarence Thomas.
Don't tell me that Republicans don't nominate controversial nominees to the Court.
Besides those two, Antonin Scalia went through a tough nomination process but was eventually approved unanimously by the Senate. Samuel Alito also went through a tough nomination but was approved by an albeit slim bipartisan vote.

According to Men's Health magazine, Little Rock is the 10th least active city in the country. We should be doing everything we can as a city to improve the health of our citizens. The costs of being fat and lazy are a drain on everybody (insurance, health care, etc.)
Besides, being fat and stupid is no way to go through life.
Here is a link to the magazine rankings: http://www.menshealth.com/best-life/cities… and here are the Least Active Cities in America:
LEAST ACTIVE
91. Little Rock, AR
92. Corpus Christi, TX
93. New Orleans, LA
94. Memphis, TN
95. Lexington, KY
96. Birmingham, AL
97. Columbia, SC
98. Nashville, TN
99. Charleston, WV
100. Jackson, MS

I must not go to the right Hillcrest Artisan Meats or at the right time of day. The place I go to by the post office at Beechwood and Kavanaugh never has anything like that. I've been more than once but turned around and left after each time, swearing that I would never be suckered into the hype surrounding that place. So...where is this mystical place?
Just aksin!

Re: “DCC director called in to Beebe office: UPDATE”
If this sentence is true, "Director Eberhard had inquired into Dennis' release, the Democrat-Gazette reported, and was told that the jail did not hold persons who would be sent to the Department of Correction technical violator center, where it was believed Dennis would be sent.", sounds like we need a bigger jail or better administered jail.
What's the difference between a "technical" violator and a "non-technical" violator? It's insane.
