Re: “Monkey business from Americans for Prosperity

Speaking of the Kochs.

Under the nearly five-decade reign of CEO Charles Koch, the company has paid out record civil and criminal environmental penalties. And in 1999, a jury handed down to Koch's pipeline company what was then the largest wrongful-death judgment of its type in U.S. history, resulting from the explosion of a defective pipeline that incinerated a pair of Texas teenagers. The volume of Koch Industries' toxic output is staggering. According to the University of Massachusetts Amherst's Political Economy Research Institute, only three companies rank among the top 30 polluters of America's air, water and climate: ExxonMobil, American Electric Power and Koch Industries.

You want to subject monkeys to watching Fox News? How cruel of you.

As an aside, the ad shows a young chimpanzee, not a monkey. The right wing war on science continues.

Re: “Missouri governor sends state police to Ferguson

Much too late. The National Guard should have been in on Tuesday to disarm the local police and march them out of the area. And then destroy the military equipment the local police departments have to prevent them from ever again using it on unarmed protesters.

Re: “Opponent: Jason Rapert an embarrassment for Ebola comments

There is a difference between airborne transmission and droplet transmission.

Droplet: "The spray of droplets during coughing and sneezing can spread infectious disease. You can even infect another person through the droplets created when you speak. Droplets fall to the ground within a few feet, so this type of transmission requires close proximity."

Airborne: "Some infectious agents can travel long distances and remain suspended in the air for an extended period of time. You can catch a disease like measles by entering a room well after someone with measles has departed."

Re: “The open line: Jason Rapert hits a new low

And the second person that is to be brought home is a Christian missionary.

Can you imagine the reaction if the President refused entry to a sick missionary?

Rapert is in good company: "Stop the EBOLA patients from entering the U.S. Treat them, at the highest level, over there. THE UNITED STATES HAS ENOUGH PROBLEMS!"

Re: “Father, son found dead in Yell County

This family was not from Greenwood. They lived in Sebastian County, more than a mile outside the city limits. The Fort Smith media is too lazy to actually determine where someone lives as opposed to where the mail is sent.

Re: “The Hucksterism open line; again with the Nazi trope

Yes. Having to produce your financial records for the last seven years is exactly comparable to this:

"Gestapo interrogation methods included: repeated near drownings of a prisoner in a bathtub filled with ice-cold water; electric shocks by attaching wires to hands, feet, ears and genitalia; crushing a man's testicles in a special vice; securing a prisoner's wrists behind his back then hanging him by the arms causing shoulder dislocation; beatings with rubber nightsticks and cow-hide whips; and burning flesh with matches or a soldering iron."

These techniques sound like the "enhanced interrogation" techniques that Republicans love so much.
