Have you seen the whole show yet. Can you comment on the lack of sculpture in the show this year? There was a total of three sculptures in the show and two of them by the same person. All the sculptures were found objects/assemblages. I found it rather disconcerting. Also the fact that so many artists had two pieces in the show, I would have liked to have seen more artists included instead of duplicates by many of the same artist's.

There is so much it is hard choose but I have always been partial to Charles Sheeler, would like something better from him though. Marsden Hartley, Willard Metcalf, Sargent, Shinn, Wyeth's "Shredded Wheat", Soyer, Ryder would be my top choices.

It is all just shooting in the dark. I've heard judges say on a different day they might choose different work. But it is good to know who the judge is and know that they have some professional credentials instead of getting the opinion of some joe off the street.

When I emailed King to complain about this bill he said he wasn't going to run it. "Thanks for contacting me. There is a great deal of confusion as to the intent of my bill. This is about giving a choice for parents and teachers and not anything about eliminating one or the other. I don't plan to run the bill but this idea was brought to me by music and art teachers. I am sorry for the confusion . Bryan"
