Re: “Skinny J's stands out

FYI. Skinny J's makes the best fried pickles on the planet. Order a basket for the table. It's a big basket. They're to die for.

Re: “Matt Campbell files ethics complaint against Dennis Milligan

I've got to think that one of the biggest "Oh, s***!" moments in politics and/or public life has to be that moment when you learn Matt Campbell is investigating you. Because he's good. And if it's there, he'll find it.

Go 'head on, Matt. Keep comforting the afflicted and afflicting the comfortable. Helluva fine job.

Re: “GOP debate: All about Trump. Huckabee in the shadows.

I didn't watch. I figure I have only a finite number of minutes on this planet, and I wasn't fixin' to waste 120 of them on these numbnuts. There were, after all, baseball to watch and books to read.

Re: “Report: State income tax cuts a bad idea

People who would not think of cutting the money their business takes in, citing inevitable decline in services they could offer, will not think twice about cutting the money government takes in. Fact is, you pay to play. If you want roads, prisons, schools, health care, you have to pay for it. Eventually, the no-taxers will realize that. State income tax is a minimal impact on most businesses that look at locating in Arkansas, other than homegrown startups, and it's not much impact to them until they start actually, you know, making money. Personal income tax rates, in particular, mean little, because the people deciding where a new industry/business will go are generally NOT the ones who are going to live there and run it. They don't much care what the taxes in Arkansas are.

Re: “A heritage of hate: History of Lee Holiday proves Nate Bell was right

I find it mildly amusing, this allegiance to the battleflag in Arkansas, very few of whose Confederate troops who fought beneath it in the Army of Northern Virginia, as well as to Lee, whose only connection to Arkansas was to cross it a few times en route to and from Texas. The Lost Cause is a powerful thing.

Re: “Arkansas Supreme Court on marriage case: Delay, delay and a change of heart

We should have elected John Fogleman. You may not agree with him, but he's unfailingly honest.

Re: “In case you were worried about a shortage of GOP candidates, here comes Bobby Jindal

I swear, I'm gonna run for President as a Republican. I know good and well I can drive the clown car as well as any of these bozos.
