If you are near Bentonville, do stop by Crystal Bridges. I spent a lovely Saturday there enjoying the Norman Rockwell exhibit.
I had a tasty, lunch at Eleven and loved the atmosphere.
Laurie Norton Moffatt, Director of the Norman Rockwell Museum in MA, gave an hour lecture that made you feel like you knew Norman.
They had 50 original paintings, including my favorite "Going and Coming" (1947) and 323 of his original Saturday Evening Post covers.
I was thrilled at the interactive system of Ipod and earphones. You enter the painting number and Rockwell's son narrated his father's feelings about that painting. All, in all, way more than I expected, and the day flew by.
The day ended at the River Grille Steakhouse where we were served wonderful food by gracious staff.
Sound Policy, I never left. Sometimes I just read.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Obama administration on Friday said it would stop enrolling new beneficiaries in a special $5 billion insurance program for people with pre-existing medical conditions, because of rising costs and limited funding.
The news comes a day after a top U.S. healthcare official told lawmakers on Capitol Hill that the administration is grappling with financial difficulties but determined to keep the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan (PCIP) operating in 23 states and the District of Columbia through 2013.
