I am so glad we in NLR have a 2nd chance to keep Steele out of office.
Did not know about the donations to heifer but it still does not change my opinion.
The lack of refunds when you had vendors be sold out of goods last year was very Riverfest-like in execution and was one reason I stayed away this year, the rain was another.
The vendors don't want to deal in cash, that's fine I can understand. I will just go see them on the street but not at the festival because I detest dealing in tickets.
the refusal, last year, to refund tickets that could not be used also did not help....at least for me.
I live in NLR and lately on every corner in the morning, various fire department employees are standing around in their Firefighters for _________ t-shirts. It makes so little impact I can't tell you who they support, only that their shirts are yellow.
Truth be told, I don't care who the firefighters support, who the police support or who anyone supports. It's my job as a voter to become informed on the candidates and make my own decision. I don't need to basis my vote on what a particular city employee group thinks anymore than I need to base it on what Fox News thinks.
Of course since we are taught from an early age that policemen are our friends and we should always trust them, many lemmings will give this endorsement some credence.
Yes the Phoenix model.....charge to much money for worthless degrees and have people run up a bunch of student debt they can never repay.
In about 10 years (if that long) the student loan debt crisis will make the housing crisis look like a speck of sand in the desert.
Sounds like Mean Gene has an axe to grind......
We may be better off as a country if we had more teachers that were "demanding" and challenged students.
Re: “Southern discomfort at Natchez”
I have been to Natchez several times and every meal I have had there has been outstanding.
My one lament is that they do not do a cup of soup, your choice is a bowl or nothing.
