many prostitutes are trafficked, which means they are slaves to their pimps. they are sexually, physically and emotionally abused to keep them working/making him money. that combined with the fact that the majority of sex workers (prostitutes, escorts, porn actresses, exotic dancers) were sexually abused as children, makes it difficult to say many prostitutes are fully choosing such a life.

Having lost faith in the AR legislature (and having several Senator emails bounce back), I called and emailed the governor's office today, requesting his veto if any of this dangerous, illegal crap makes it to his desk.

one can certainly drive oneself from town to town and still be trafficked. a woman does not have to be in chains to be a slave. the psychological hold pimps have over women can be extraordinary. many women have their children or other family members lives threatened if they try to leave "the life." if someone had my child's address, and could get to her before I could, i'd be stuck.
