Well, I am not in favor of uprooting people from their homes, but also EXPECT the city or the powers that be to do as they please....What gets me is that the Dem Gaz is not printing anything about this NOW. Strange when they have 4 diff headlines about the police killing a 15 yr. old thug(sadly)....and more than that about the man in Leawood that the police killed. I support our LRPD 100% and think they are deliberately trying to make the police officers look bad.

I am a Bible believer and know all about what's wrong with this...HOWEVER, I find it NORMAL for successful men (or is his success over and done) to mess it up like this. Actually the Bible verse for boys born on the 20th is: "There is TREASURE to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the WISE, but a FOOLISH MAN SPENDETH IT UP." The Bible is very interesting in that ALL THE ANSWERS are there...Promises of God for eternal life, consequences of each and every sin...or LIFE CHOICE...we are all sinners (in our human weakness) and fall short.

PLEASE HELP. WHAT IS THE SOLUTION? I am near mental breakdown as to what can be done for a 29 yr. old male who cannot work without supervision, is borderline retarded, has other concentration issues, and is ADHD. Besides that he is on the sex offender list since he was 15 (first juvenile to be put there). He is not a danger to anyone. He is gentle hearted, had a hard time and would even make a good caregiver. We have had no success getting him BACK on SS since he was dropped at age 18. He can't get a job and would not have the ability to get there and back if he did...remember he is a sex offender. real SEX OFFENDERS should be locked up for good, not just restricted as to where they can live.. they can walk to a school. He can't even be in a homeless shelter...It is GO TO JAIL OR have a place to live. He had the mental capacity of about a 9 yr. old when the offense occurred and had been exposed to XX rated movies and kids doing sex in front of him....he was still in the "playing in the dirt with his trucks" stage....WE DIDN'T HAVE A LAWYER OR WE WOULDN'T BE IN THIS SITUATION. PRESENTLY, he has a girlfriend who is disabled with a $600 check and they have food stamps..no medical. I could write a book about desperation

BENTON BETTER KEEP A LOW PROFILE...some greedy developer is probably already teaming up with our "Wunnerful" government to build 800 low income apartments in the middle of town....Nothing wrong with low income, but crime comes with it. Not me saying this, but reports claim that more low income are involved in crime. We know that apartments moving into the neighborhood results in rise in crime!!!. KEEP THE POLICE TOUGH!!!!!!! GOD SAVE OUR COUNTRY

What's wrong with the printout having your name on it at YOUR polling place and when it's validated...YOU HAVE VOTED..ONE TIME. Or we could go to fingerprints. I just think it is far fetched that even an old person can't get a picture id...maybe not.
