Re: “Wednesday: Today's video news roundup and the open line

Justice Jo Hart is, I am told, a significant part Native American, which makes her a minority. Not a mere 1/64 like Elizabeth Warren, which incidentally is Native American enough to be elected President of the Cherokee Nation, which I read their president also is 1/64th.

Re: “UA Board set for final decision on $160 million Razorback Stadium expansion

$160,000,000 for 6 games a year. Makes sense to me. Football coach gets a raise, but nobody else in state government ....

Re: “About that focus on ISIS: Killer's contradictory background raises questions

By their logic, then, we could incarcerate all domestic batterers for 20 years and label them terrorists, even though it's now a misdemeanor. The right is unhinged because they can't bring themselves to ban assault rifles. But, with a million or so in circulation, they will say "what's the point?" The point is that the owners who are reasonable [a contradiction I might add] wouldn't give them up. Guys like this one wouldn't get their hands on one as easily. But everything has it's price. Somebody would sell theirs to a criminal or terrorist if the price was right.

Re: “Quapaw leader, a Republican, backs Hillary Clinton

Little Rock has never been known for its vision. Exhibit A: Federal Express was founded here in 1971. Remember, when founder Fred Smith asked the City of Little Rock about expanding facilities at the airport and they and the "good suit" club laughed? So he asked Memphis. FedEx employs 300,000 worldwide with $47B annual revenue. And we ran him off by a lack of vision. Now, talk among yourselves and give other examples.

Re: “Ben Lipscomb, former Rogers city attorney, strikes deal for light punishment

Helluva deal: Pay a $4,000 fine and pocket over $800k illegally, albeit with the consent of the City of Rogers.

Re: “Stop talking about 'surpluses.' Asa has raided general revenue for highways.

At first I was struck by the irony that AHTD workers without a pay raise would be paving the roads with the "new money" of Asa's shell game. Then I realized: no, private contractors bid for the jobs and do the work. The AHTD just maintains the final product; until it needs paving again.

Re: “Watch 30 Crossing in 3D; read architect's objections

Note that the 8 lane version is congested with cars yet the 10 lane isn't .... And how do they know that? It's obvious they want to cause the 10 lane version to be adopted by skewing the image.
