For as many different types of pizzas as are available in this town, I still pine for Tiny Tim's on the Fayetteville square: perfect crust every time, delicious sauce, plentiful cheese and fresh toppings. I've tried just about every other place in LR and although some of them are good, nothing compares to Tim's.
Re. Loca Luna, I've eaten there probably five or six times over several years, and every single time has been bad to the point of making me angry, whether it's cold, flavorless coffee, running out of the special before noon, wrong orders, terrible service or just terrible food, it's always disappointing. It's just weird, because Red Door has been really good every time I've eaten there. But I won't go back to LL.
Thank you for the heads-up Katherine. I updated the post.
Ark Panic Fan? Angry? Say it ain't so... I kid, I kid.
In all seriousness though, lots of people complain about Riverfest every year, saying it's gone downhill from previous years. I've only lived in LR since late 2009, and prior to that my only experience at Riverfest was seeing War in like 1998 or something.
I'm wondering which past years/lineups people are referring to when they say it's not as good as it used to be.
Best BBQ in the state: Smokin' Buns in Jacksonville. They do everything well -- pulled pork, ribs, sausage and hands-down what has to be the best brisket in the state.
They also serve great catfish and have excellent side dishes. FYI -- they're open Wed.-Sat.
What an utterly idiotic comment. Is this how you act in real life?
It was filmed in Southeast Arkansas.
Re: “Howdy, Chuy's! Welcome to Arkansas”
As someone born in Texas, who lived there as a child and as an adult and who loves many things about the place, I have to say that the smug attitude of about 93 percent of Texans just screams "INFERIORITY COMPLEX."
There's much to love about the Lone Star State, but the center-of-the-universe, nothing-anywhere-else-is-as-good attitude is off-putting in the extreme to the rest of humanity. Try a little humility y'all.
