Re: “Only one Razorback football game at War Memorial next year through 2018

So I suppose the University of Tennessee should change its name to the University of Knoxville, since the home games are played there and not mostly there but with one or two in Nashville?

Or maybe the University of Alabama should change its name to the University of Tuscaloosa as they no longer play a game or two in Birmingham any more.

Re: “Guns: If you've got 'em, flaunt 'em

I have a question I always pose that none of the open-carry vigilante crowd has ever been even willing to answer. Here's the situation: you're at the mall or Chick Fil A or wherever, packing your Sig Sauer P290, and a Bad Guy With A Gun shows up. You pull out your piece to take him out but Whoops! You missed and hit that little girl standing just behind and to the left of him that you couldn't see. What happens then cowboy?

Are you all really so confident in your ability to shoot accurately in a tense situation the likes of which most of you have *never* encountered? Because I don't have that much faith in you. And I promise you this: if it's me or a loved one that you accidentally hit while trying to be Chuck Norris, then me or someone in my family is going to sue you into absolute financial ruin.

I think most of you have just seen too many damn action movies where the good guy never misses. You really wanna be a brave badass? Then charge the BGWG and take him down with your own bare hands. Or talk him out of his gun like public school employee Antoinette Tuff did at that school in Georgia a few weeks ago. That takes guts. A real hero is willing to put his own life on the line, not someone else's.

Re: “Talking 'nose to tail' cooking with Travis McConnell

Take a deep breath Cosmo. It's gonna be OK. You can like what you like and other people can like what they like and nobody has to get 9 inches of anything shoved down their throat (unless they want to).

Re: “Butcher & Public announces Kickstarter

Yes, because banks are just lining up to loan money to would-be restaurateurs and small-scale butcher shops.

Re: “Queens of the Stone Age cancels Arkansas Music Pavilion show

This is far and away the best commentary on NWA's live music scene that I've read in a long time. Thanks Statesman.
