Re: “The long shadow of Carnell Russ' death

I believe it is a peremptory challenge, not preemptory.

Re: the story from earlier today about the closure of the Stonecrest Apartments on Baseline due to multiple code violations. One of the co-owners is Grant Exton. In 2009 there was a Grant Exton who was executive director of the Arkansas Concealed Carry Association. Wonder if it is the same guy?

Re: “Murder, fraud, $2.2 million somewhere

Between Maurice Clemmons and Shea Saenger/Sharon Lumpkin, I'm guessing Washington state would prefer we keep our criminals at home.

And I agree with plainjim - how can the niece still be employed by a police department? Besides receiving Mr. Butler's money, she's also still on probation for stealing from Quapaw Methodist, right? I think I read that on the Butler v. Saenger site noted in the article.

Well written article. This really burns me up. I can't quit thinking about it. Just read some of the crap the Lumpkin relatives have written on Butler's website. Makes me want to drive down to the Delta and get the Butler's money back for them. One of them writes that Mr. Butler's son should do the "Christian" thing and quit pursuing them. Aargh. As a believer, this makes me nauseous.
