'A Loss of Roses' a stunner
Before last Friday night, the saddest, most "depressing" Depression-era story I had read was Horace McCoy's "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?" However, after watching The Arkansas Repertory Theatre's opening performance of William Inge's "A Loss of Roses," I can attest that this play is as rough and unflinching as that Depression-era tale, or any other.

Re: “Damien Echols' statement on plea deal”
19th August 2011. I celebrate 344 months of marriage. I am not even 2 weeks older than Damien. The parallel of our lives - and the obvious lunacy - has floored me. What a great minnaversary gift for me. I am so overwhelmed. I constantly thought of especially Damien and I knew such a day would be the happiest of my life. I did not expect my true reaction. All emotions all at once. In it, I am also so happy that they are free. ECSTATIC! It is pure and utter bullshit though, that it had to come to this. The implications are just BULLSHIT. Love you Damien, Jason and Jessie. All the best. All the freakin' best for you.
