Re: “The Concrete Gulch Chronicles

I am always amused with comparisons to Portland, Seattle, Vancouver. Folks, the population density of LR-NLR is 175 persons per square mile. Vancouver Island is 13,500 persons per square mile. That number alone obviates all comparisons about what works there and what works here. We don't like it but for 70 years we have built auto-centric cities. Changing one transportation project is not going to go farther than a fart into the wind as far as transforming the city. Portland and Vancouver made conscious decisions to prevent sprawl. We did not. Quite the opposite. Nothing is going to change that.

Re: “Concrete gulch hearing this week

TJ----please define the Wants of the Public...I don't recall a referendum being held. Other than the ones that elected two mayors and a county judge.

Re: “Satanic Temple: Make Rapert pay for Ten Commandments monument

Is it too late to have the satanic sculpture include a likeness of rapert? that would make it a tourist attraction fer shure.

Re: “Concrete gulch hearing this week

Metroplan BOARD can amend the TIP any day of the week with 30 days notice, it doesn't have to wait on anything.
The gulch that is there remains essentially the same width. retaining walls instead of the grass and concrete sloped berm will keep the new project in the same right of way as existing 30.

Re: “Broadway Bridge closing set for Sept. 28

in short, it's the truck loadings and the 1950's design approach using a fracture-critical beam system.
I just wrote a brilliant treatise on this for you, but when I pushed the Edit button, it disappeared! BRANTLEY!!!! (yelled with fist raised, staring at the sky)
