Re: “Chick-fil-A CEO regrets getting into gay marriage debate

I'm glad to see that Mr. Brantley doesn't eat there either. The main problem isn't marriage though...it's the discrimination they've encouraged towards homosexuals in general, even if inadvertent. What they really should regret is giving money to groups, like Exodus International, who have gone to spread "the message" to other countries such as Uganda and whose warnings on the "gay agenda" have led to murders of LGBT people and activists, as well as the 2014 Uganda Anti-Homosexuality Act (where one can now be imprisoned for being gay, or even for not telling on someone who is gay). This is an ongoing problem that is much more deplorable than any stance on marriage.

Re: “March for gay pride set in Little Rock Oct. 5

The $25 is only for groups wanting to have an entry in the parade. This is to help cover the costs of the permits from the city! Our next meeting is tomorrow night at 6 pm at the UALR Bowen School of Law, or you may email centralarkansaspride@gmail.com with any questions!

Re: “How the war will end

Great article by Dr. Jay Barth. However, this comment ^^^ is why you "don't drink the kool-aid." Replace every instance of "homosexuality" or "gay marriage" with "bigotry," "hypocrisy," or "hatefulness" and Thomas Pope might just be on to something...

Re: “Two groups seek votes on same-sex marriage in Arkansas

Laura, first, I know you think you just made a highly intelligent post and are quite proud of your love for Jesus, but you really just don't get it. Some people are just not attracted to the opposite sex! I know you're not speaking from experience on the subject or you would have never made such ignorant comments...which would be like me telling you as a straight female that you're really gay but "just haven't found the right female yet." Utterly ridiculous. Your reaction would be the same as that of a homesexual being told they're really straight. It's not a choice! Second, there are already many people who are married who can't "repopulate" due to various physical issues. Are you suggesting we take their right to marry away too? Besides, marriage is NOT just about procreation...with marriage comes over 1,000 federal benefits, and, more importantly, it's about LOVE! Finally, Jesus actually NEVER said ANYTHING about homesexuality! You should probably take a cue from him and keep quiet on the issue as well, lest you speak out again and further show your ignorance on the topic. Not only do you need to freshen up on your knowledge of the Bible (though your religious views are irrelevant to this LEGAL matter), you need a better knowledge of U.S. history and the laws protecting ALL citizens of this country. Start with the 14th amendment.
