I was shocked and disappointed by your story of how Ms. Davis says she's a victim of judicial harassment. I have found in the past that the Arkansas Times has been more circumspect and would not succumb to the pressure to resort to such gutter journalism. This reporter had the audacity to take unverified accusations from an obviously angry, petulant young lawyer and state her accusations as fact. He wrote this, even though those claims were found NOT TRUE by the state Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission. The executive director of the Commission, David A. Stewart, dismissed the complaint filed by Davis against Judge Hearnsberger! Does that mean anything to you guys at the Arkansas Times? The board even stated, "The investigation initiated by this complaint did not reveal or find any evidence of judicial misconduct, wrongdoing..." So, you disregard all of that information and just continue to listen to the erratic, manic rants made by this woman in her mask and print them as if they were facts? Did you at least ask around to check the validity of the source? You have a responsibility as a journalist to check your facts and not spread an epidemic of misinformation. Some readers may not be capable of discerning fact from fiction; truth from opinion. Please be a conscientious journalist, so not to hurt the integrity of the publication or your credibility as a writer!
