Re: “The open line. Also: The unapologetic Mike Huckabee and developments in a new same-sex marriage lawsuit.

So the thief gets maybe $40 for his ill gotten gains, we pay $3000+ to replace unit. These copper and a/c thefts are getting ridiculous again.

Re: “Quitman High School scraps homecoming speeches; silences lesbian student

So this young lady is going to entice the youth of Quitman to join her underground lair of compassion and acceptance. Wouldn't want that now would we. Decency indeed.

Narrows, we don't want him either. I say a curse word every time I pass his house.

It's the voters. Look at who actively votes. Faulkner and Perry County voters are older conservatives. We don 't have enough young people, young families, mid aged folks. It's the curse of bedroom communities everywhere. The polls during early voting are closed when we leave and when we return, then on the last day, you try to get back before it's too late. We have to work harder to stop making excuses and turn out to vote.

Re: “Five carriers will sell policies on Arkansas Health Insurance Marketplace in 2015; all expected to sell statewide

As one of the uninsured masses, I was thrilled when I received my Ambetter Insurance card. Since that time, I have experienced a few issues that I didn't expect. The primary care physician stopped accepting new patients with Ambetter, because of slow payments. The one dentist in my area no longer accepts patients with Ambetter because of slow payments. Now the eye care doctor no longer accepts it either. It never occurred to me that this would become an issue. I pay my premiums on time. Actually I pay ahead, just in case something gets lost, I am taking no chances with my coverage. I expect I will have to change carriers in January, but in the mean time at least my Rx is covered.
