'A Loss of Roses' a stunner
Before last Friday night, the saddest, most "depressing" Depression-era story I had read was Horace McCoy's "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?" However, after watching The Arkansas Repertory Theatre's opening performance of William Inge's "A Loss of Roses," I can attest that this play is as rough and unflinching as that Depression-era tale, or any other.

Great Tamales with the right seasonings, but if you are there around lunch time try the lunch plate. Rhoda makes real homemade food the old way. Rhoda's cabbage and greens are the best in the world, and on Fridays get a catfish plate-wonderful! I eat at Rhoda's every week and have been very pleased every time I've gone there. Rhoda is there to talk to and it is nice to see her, but on Fridays and Saturdays Rhoda is out at the neighboring towns selling hot tamales out of her van. If you buy 3 dozen tamales Rhoda puts them in a large coffee type can for you, take um home and eat um right from the can. I give Rhoda's Famous Hot Tamales 5 Stars because they taste so good!
