Re: “Hillary Clinton joins presidential race

Why do we keep settling for less? And it's always the same fear-mongering tropes brought out about the Supreme Court, choosing the "lesser of two evils," blah blah blah. This woman will say ANYTHING and stands for NOTHING. Her highest allegiance is to herself, just like Bill.

Why is everyone falling for this "inevitability" crap? When can we start demanding better?

Re: “Mike Preston of Florida tapped as next director of Arkansas Economic Development Commission

"Florida is considered one of the more active states in terms of economic development. According to the Enterprise Florida website, there have been six significant announcements so far in March, with almost 500 new jobs expected from the new deals."

This report suggests otherwise:

Re: “Craighead County legislators file bill against female genital mutilation

Perfect solution to a non-existent problem!

I get their thinking behind this. They believe FGM is a "Muslim" thing, only it isn't. It's an African thing. But since the hoopleheads in their district think it's a Muslim practice too and Islamophobia is all the rage these days among low-information folks, this bill is a perfect, no-cost pander to their hooplehead constituents' irrational fear and ignorance.

Re: “State asks Judge Griffen to step down from Little Rock school lawsuit

As I've said a million times before in other instances when this judge has pontificated his opinion on matters potentially before his court, Griffen needs to choose between being a judge and a community activist. He cannot be both.
