We made an agreement, I'm stealing one of Roberts' favorites next week.
Kevin, don't they give you a discount if you flash your "WLR 'til I die" tattoo?
Susie, I'm going to Edwards tomorrow. Love me some leeks. Thx for the tip.
In the end, I think Chuy's is really a hit or miss kinda place. Not everything is going to be great, some things will be mediocre, and some will be excellent. This was certainly the case with our meal. Working your way through the menu, in order to find those exemplary items, may or may not be something every person is willing to go through.
hnicole--maybe you missed it, but we already posted a story on the GCC before it happened, encouraging our readers to attend. We explained that the event benefitted the Thea foundation, what the Thea foundation was, and where readers would be able donate money is they wanted. The event was very welll organized, elegant, and a real pleasure to attend. The purpose of this story was strictly a critique of the food, not of the event.
Hugh- if this is the first time you've eaten sandwiches at HAM, clearly, we aren't doing our job right here. Their sausages, lentil salad, and macarons are all worth a visit as well.
Kevin- so essentially, you're saying "Damgoode pies is just dammediocre." I know someone who would agree with you.
Welcome back, Joel. I'm sure Kevin is all kinds of worried that his top spot is going to be snatched away now.
