Re: “Behind the scenes of UAMS-St. Vincent merger talks

Doesn't this remind you of people getting their grubby hands on public money for charter schools.
If you're such brilliant managers at St Vincent let's see the evidence.
A few years ago St.Vincent bought Doctors Hospital so Baptist couldn't, it cost a fortune and was almost a total loss.
Who can forget their efforts to rig the ballot for a nurse's union in their favor, luckily reversed by the labor board.
Their holiness is only exceeded by their incompetence.
Don't fall for it UAMS you'll only be checking to see if you've still got your wallet.

Re: “St. Vincent proposal: Run all clinics

When it comes to underhanded, administrative bumbling St Vincent's in a class of its own.
Who can forget their catastrophic decision to buy Drs. Hospital so Baptist couldn't, it cost a small fortune and never made a cent.
Or their epic decision to rig the ballot in the union RN election, ( because it was going to cost money ) later thankfully reversed by the labor board.
Their endless poor-mouthing and pettyness to their staff does them no favors.
The ceo of this ' NON-PROFIT " earns half a million dollars a year, cuddly, lovable Dr. David showed up for a while and 'earnt' more than that; they also have a ' PEOPLE PERSON ' who earns two hundred thousand dollars a year for what I don't know.
They want to manage UAMS, hold onto your wallets.
Doesn't it sound like Charter schools sucking at the public trough?

Re: “Bicyclists call for safer streets in Little Rock

The only thing I would add on Diane is that drivers aren't supposed to pass on a double yellow line and was the three foot passing law being observed?

Re: “Bicyclists call for safer streets in Little Rock

IN response to Hackett,
the extra five seconds it takes to pass a slower cyclist safely in a tight spot instead of trying to bully your way through may save their life and save you the trivial inconvenience of having to tell the police that the cyclist you just killed just pulled out right in front of you and you were such a shitty driver there was nothing you could do.................................

Re: “Bicyclists call for safer streets in Little Rock

Why are there no prosecutions of drivers who kill cyclists?
If this had been a doctor out runnng who'd been killed you'd never hear the end of it.

Re: “Bicyclists call for safer streets in Little Rock

In response to sf4321,
Kavanaugh and Beechwood is where I first got hit on a bike by a young girl talking to her passenger instead of looking at the road .She flipped me off the bike onto her hood and then when she saw what she'd done jammed the brakes on and threw me onto the street.
I was of work for a while with the cracked bones and ribs.
Giving some people a 3000lb vehicle is like giving them a loaded gun.....
I drive, I bike, I see idiots doing both; most drivers don't want to kill you, some bikers are arrogant, some drivers are talking on the cell, but the one who's going to come off worse is going to be the cyclist.
Riders should always ride as if every driver's a moron; drivers should drive as if all cyclists are wobbly fools and give them as wide a berth as possible.
RIP Diane
