Alexander Hamilton -- A guy they never heard of? I confess I didn't know enough about Hamilton, but thanks to his portrait, I wanted to know more. Art has a funny way of doing that ... making you want to know more. Don't tell the legislature, or they'll outlaw museums.

Kate -- you are absolutely right and I have fixed the first sentence in the sidebar. See how confusing it is? Even when you written thousands of words about it, it's easily confused with A+ Arkansas!

I should have continued with this sentence from the report:

"However, over the same period, only the upper-income tier increased its share in the nation’s household income pie. It now takes in 46%, up from 29% four decades ago. The middle tier now takes in 45%, down from 62% four decades ago. The lower tier takes in 9%, down from 10% four decades ago."
