Just curious, if the law about texting while driving were to pass, would that give officers the right to seize any cell phones in the car and retrieve records of phone calls, texts, call lists, etc?

I'm glad to see Texas fight back against the TSA. Texas has been fighting against some of the new TSA policies.
"A woman has filed a complaint with federal authorities over how her elderly mother was treated at Northwest Florida Regional Airport last weekend.

Jean Weber of Destin filed a complaint with the Department of Homeland Security after her 95-year-old mother was detained and extensively searched last Saturday while trying to board a plane to fly to Michigan to be with family members during the final stages of her battle with leukemia.

Her mother, who was in a wheelchair, was asked to remove an adult diaper in order to complete a pat-down search."
Not-that-there's-anything-wrong-with-that gay rumors for seven years or more. (Oh, Google it.)
One DETESTS sounding worldlier-than-thou.
But one must because one is.

About the gay thing . . . .

If you have to ask, they are.

There's a reason why everybody jokes about people named Travolta and Cruise for twenty years (Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes, Razorbabies? "South Park's" notorious "In The Closet" episode?) and those aging closeted stars keep suing the funsters, but not Law or Radcliffe or Franco, who don't give a shit because even if they WERE gay it's just not give-a-shit-able to any fans their age.

Funny, how the FIRST thing mentioned about Rick Perry's "possible" POTUS run is his Ted Haggardness.
Plus NOBODY white, running for ANYTHING, wears a dijon-mustard tie.

Holy cow...I love learnin' on the Internet and I sure didn't know that Perry worked for Al.

One of the few silver-linings I can drag out of Gore's loss to former President Shit for Brains is that it kept horrid 'anti everything I believe in' Lieberman out of the White House--THANK THE HEAVENS.

Perry's own life words and actions define him as a supercilious idiotic three-incher (thank you, jazzy). He didn't know that a Democratic presidential candidate had non-conservative ideology before he went to work for him--liar. Then there's his Pray-for-rain day that his god didn't answer positively 'cause the Texas drought is worse. Too much evidence that he's a living example of the Republican vision for government: Screw it up then run to fix it...then completely destroy it as proof that it doesn't work.

If it walks, talks and acts like a kook caucus, it is one.
However I thought (during late primary season) it was absolutely imperative Dems support the O in hope that he just might not be as bad as Clinton. I was wrong, he is as bad as Clinton. Of course I was also one of the first to realize and admit it at the time (July '08).
I never voted for either Obama or Clintons (except on Bill's first presidential run) and I never voted for Gore or Kerry..
As an avid and longtime consumer of Ben Sargent political cartoons, I am naturally skeptical of Rick Perry. Too many of these supposedly credible Republican presidential candidates (e.g., Palin, Paul, Cain, Huckabee, Gingrich) are pretty clearly unelectable jokes (for President) with Palin the most notorious of that cohort in my eyes. I am close to throwing Bachmann in that group as well but I am willing to give her a fair hearing before joining ranks with the mainstream media and LWNJs here on her as well. Of course, I also thought Obama was a joke candidate as well.

As for Perry, I will also give him a second chance now that George Will hasn't thrown him under the bus yet. Now I need to see what Charles Krauthammer thinks about him. Pretty good rule of thumb for me that, absent my own investigation on the matter, is that if George Will and Krauthammer are on-board with something then that's probably where I am as well.

It's going to take a pretty convincing showing from someone (or implosion by Romney) to shake me off him for my choice. I like Paul Ryan and Christie but they don't have POTUS credibility for me in 2012. Rubio as well. I have no problem with Romney's alledged health care problem, Mormanism, or supposedly liberal track record as governor of Massachussetts.

Perry was Al Gore's presidential Texas campaign manager. Perry is just another opportunist in a criminal system. He should have been a snake oil salesman.
