DBI, maybe you could have casually asked your barber if he liked the country losing 750,000 jobs in the final month of the last R president's term more than the 250,000 jobs created last month under the current D president. After all, jobless folks tend to cut their own hair which isn't good for your barber's business.

I'd like to see every Arkansan take this oath, maybe when they renew their drivers license. Though it will make blogging dull as a church service, we need to act more civilized towards each other. But then what does one do when a wingnut shows up making up their own facts and hatin like a mofo?

My kindly old barber was working my head over 2 days ago and he was listing all the things that are wrong with our country. I agreed with his list, these things are true, but he finished up saying maybe good things will happen when we get a new President.

I respect my elders therefore I didn't give him the ass beating he so richly deserves, but good lord when are the Fox Newsers going to pull the poison needle out of their arms and quit supporting Republicans who wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire?

Our problem is a 100% bought off Congress working for corporations, not us, never us and they're found on both sides of the isle. We are not a government For the people, or BY the people any more and that's what's killing you and me and our wingnut friends. Fix that and we'll live in a land of milk & honey.

I wish our state and federal legislators took an oath of office that stressed, or at least mentioned, ethics, honesty, and civility.

I think we'd appreciate that more than the Taxpayer Protection Pledge. http://arkansasnews.com/2011/05/11/a-pledg…

As much as Republicans can't seem to repeat the preamble to the Constitution (they have a problem saying "promote the general welfare") without accidentally reciting a portion of the Declaration of Independence, I'd like to see the oath of office modified to recognize those American values and all politicians be reminded of that oath regularly.

If that happens, maybe another American value will be added to the constitution-the Equal Rights Amendment.
