Did the inaugural committee have a big surplus left over after the big party?

The biggest disbursement was to Cajun's Wharf - $32,796. At least that makes sense.

If the invitation had properly disclosed that the ticket sales would be reported as contributions to a political party, the non-profits might have declined.

The better way to do it would be to form a separate non-profit corporation for the inaugural committee, and keep those funds separate from party funds. A business entity search at SoS finds a foreign non-profit named "The Presidential Inaugural Committee", formed in 2001 and currently in good standing. So far, I can't find a similar non-profit for any governor's inauguration.

I have another gripe: it is impossible to get a stable URL for a document in the Secretary of State's financial disclosure database. The URL that worked yesterday links to a different random document today. These ever-breaking links make it difficult to do research. The whole system needs a big overhaul.

16-Mar 2005 State Representative Mark Martin's (R-Prairie Grove) bill that would require the state to teach the "theory of intelligent design" in public schools died in the House Rules Committee.

16-Mar 2006 Arkansas Supreme Court certified teachers' class action lawsuit by Steven Jones against Van Buren School District for unilaterally increasing work hours in violation of their contract, Arkansas law, and school district policies.

16-Mar 2006 Heifer International’s new environmentally friendly headquarters dedicated at Little Rock. Speakers included Bill Clinton, Tererai Trent, and Jeffrey Sachs. Soweto Gospel Choir was the warm up act.

I have a couple neices and a couple neighbors that are late teen to late 20's that seem to be able to see me since I have always sent them cash in birhtday cards or graduation cards.

But beyond that I am totally, completely invisible.

It would be inappropriate to leer and I never would but I bet I could get away with it since, as I said before, I am invisible.

I don't know about Allen Fieldhouse. The last time I lived in Kansas was 1958, although my sister lived in western Kansas until the mid 60's and she still has in-laws there.
