Shoeshine, you got your two days of media coverage from Rosen's poor choice of words. The problem for your boy Willard and girl Ann is they are not regular people. If you believe they are, that just goes to show how out of touch YOU are.

When the American voter learns how cushy a life Willard and Ann have, only die-hard Rethuglicons will be able to vote for a platinum spoon president come November.

And women will break much like they did for Obama in 2008, probably by an even higher percentage based on the Rethuglicon war on women. Come November 6 you'll see what I mean.

There's a difference in a woman who has the option to stay home and raise her kids because she has no money worries and a woman does not have that option. She raises her kids, cleans her house, does her shopping and works 40+ hours a week to be able to feed and shelter her family. Ms Rosen may have misspoken but the point is, Ann Romney cannot relate to the lives of most women in America. Women comprise over 50% of the workforce and many would like to stay home with their kids but cannot afford to. Most of them make considerably less than a man in the same job. They often have to make a choice between working more to pay a bill or put food on the table or spending time with their children. Ann Romney never had to worry about those things.

However, it shouldn't be a war about women who work in the home and women who work both in and outside the home. It should be making sure that all women get valued for the work they do --paid or unpaid. For more about the War on Moms
Yes, I will defend Ann Romney, as has Michelle Obama, Axelrod and many other liberals. Why would they defend Ann Romney? Because Rosen was wrong to attack Ann. Rosen was sent in to smooth out the Debbie W-Schultz but it did not work. Rosen has now cancelled her big appearance on the Sunday morning shows because she Knows, she was wrong. Mrs. Romney has been talking with thousands of wives, moms, grandmothers all across the US. She has current knowledge of what women are worried about. If it was such a good idea, why did Rosen appologize twice?

Demorats love to dish out their media firestorms over their ginned up issues. But they sure can't take it. They'll use the media to destroy lives with reckless abandon. But suddenly when they're the ones looking down the barrel, they start squealing like the stuck pigs that they are.
What's the matter, Ms. Rosen? Don't you like the medicine you're being forced to choke down? You ought to. It's YOUR brand.
If the media EVER started doing their d@#^ jobs and started treating Obama the way they treat Republicans, I guarantee Obama would quit politics, quit the Presidency and run screaming for shelter in the nearest closet he could find.
Remember in the 08 campaign when Huffington took a crack at his ears? Obama confronted her afterwards and commanded her to never make fun of him again. She sheepishly responded, 'We're just trying to toughen you up'. But in the end she put on her carpet covered kneepads and followed Obama's orders like the little media slave she always was.
If a Liberal/Democrat politician/media figure wants to put their arms around you, or pat you on the back, all they're doing is looking for a good place to stick a knife.
Jeez, Sunshine, why do you continue to defend this pampered woman. Yeah, Ann Romney found an early stage breast cancer. But she certainly didn't go through some big ordeal with it. She had a simple lumpectomy, done on an out-patient basis, and required no follow-up procedures of any kind. So it can only barely be said that she 'fought' breast cancer.

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/12…

And what difference does it make if Rosen is a lesbian? Who cares? She spoke the truth...that Ann Romney never had to hold a job at the same time she was raising children and keeping a home, or rather multiple homes. MS or not, no doubt that's all a whole lot easier to do with $250 million in off-shore accounts and all the household help she could possibly ever need. There's absolutely nothing about Ann Romney that resonates with the 'real moms' of America. Oh, but of course there are those pitiful few who also looked to Sarah Palin as the ideal role model for mothers everywhere. GAG!
Well, Sunshine, you are a day late on this. Rosen made a true statement-Ann Romney's life as a stay at home parent with all the money she would ever need is certainly not representive of the millions of women who are worrying on how to pay for a doctor visit when it is that or food on the table. Raising kids is a lot of work but raising kids while working one or more jobs due to low pay and still doing everything Ann Romney does is far more work and that is what Rosen said. If you can't see the difference-go out and play with Saline.

It is a Republican story and they want to keep it alive since Romney is behind about 17% on the woman vote and all that being nice talk won't overcome all of the Republican vagina searching, birth control tablet preaching, anti-abortion laws, pay disparity, and second class citizenship typical of the Republican Party.

I can't believe no one is harping about Ms. Hilary Rosen bashing Mrs. Romney? This was not a slip-up on Hilary Rosen's part. This was an actual communication strategy to demean Ann Romney by positioning her as "out of touch" with the trials and tribulations of the average woman. Why Rosen even still has a job, I have no idea. Check out the golden gift she inadvertantly handed to Romney and the Republican party: https://www.mittromney.com/donate/moms-eco… "Moms drive the economy." Something tells me that's gonna resonate real well with moms, stay-at-home AND otherwise.

While Ann Romney raised her 5 children and fought breast cancer, she is now campaigning with her husband while fighting MS. The liberal, lesbian Ms. Hilary Rosen has truly stepped in it and decided not to make her appearance on Meet the Press tomorrow !
I see Wolf has already thrown her under the bus.

Sellercreek I sent your Weather Alert service link to a friend whose bidness requires him to travel coast to coast, home is beachfront Los Angeles. He's been a market analyst in radio for many years. He responded with something that should open eyes about how cell phone companies are screwing you regarding emergency service:

"Was interesting that last summer when I was back east just in time for the earthquake and hurricane, we were without electricity for several days. Cell coverage was out. We did have a generator and were able to charge our phones, but nothing to receive.

Headed tomorrow for the Nat'l Assoc of Broadcasters convention in Las Vegas this week. One of my clients is spearheading a consortium lobbying to get theme FM/HD chips turned on in phones.

Most don't realize that those chips are already onboard - cell companies and others like Apple just can't make money on the content flowing through them.

But they sure would work if you needed to get info out quickly when the cell and mobile Internet systems weren't functional.

Should be an interesting week of verbal positioning and dueling press releases."

Then the George Porter Trio at about 9:00 at Irvin Mayfield's Jazz Playhouse at the Royal Sonesta. Or just stay at the Abita Stage for Walter "Wolfman" Washington and the Roadmasters. Get yourself a meat pie and a Plum St. Snowball with nectar and cream. FQF is a blast. All the free music and cheap food is good. Maybe you can get into GW Fins on Bienville for lunch tomorrow. Their deal is seafood that's not all New Orleans cliches.
NOLA BBQ Shrimp is just shrimp baked with a sauce of melted butter, lemon slices, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco. Instead of baking them, sometimes I just let the swimps marinate briefly in the sauce, then skewer them and grill them over charcoal and pecan wood.

If killing a zygote is murder then it logically follows that wasting sperm is equally a murder. Representative Johnson (D) introduces a bill in Oklahoma Legislature that addresses the male problem of destroying potential life.

You get three sides to this discussion. The woman's side, the the two sides of a man's argument: One, it would be senseless intrusion by government on what a man chooses to do with his body and two, life in a woman's body needs to be protected.
Yes, it was adultery, lying and cheating and improper hires that summed to a total of "character issues" used to fire BP "for cause."
But you do make a good caboose on the morality train.
I'm sure that hobbyists and electronics fans can think of more stores that are no longer around to feed their habit, like Heathkit (mail-order). What about the opinions of Bobby Petrino's morality? I have posted several that I have got from around the country. http://thedailyhatch.org/2012/04/14/opinio…

Here is one from Dave Miller who is a Southern Baptist pastor:

During the Clinton scandals of the 1990s, we heard a relentless refrain from the big media outlets – personal behavior and character do not really count in job performance. They beat the drum that Clinton’s all-too-evident personal failings did not affect his ability to do his job well. I call that nonsense...This week, we had another extremely public piece of evidence in this sad debate. Bobby Petrino was forced out as the coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks football program. It had nothing to do with his job performance. That cannot have been any better. He took a struggling program and moved them to the head of the class. Next season was supposed to be their best, with a lot of returning players. Petrino is an excellent football coach.

Then, poof, it all went away. He was in a motorcycle accident. He claimed he was by himself. Not so much. He was with a 25-year-old former volleyball player with whom he had been conducting an affair (Petrino is married with four children) for some time. His girlfriend had recently landed a cherry job within the football program and it was discovered that Petrino had used his influence in that hiring.

That is what cost him his job. Not adultery. Not lying. Not cheating. He lost his job because he used his influence to hire the young lady.

But that is what people need to remember. These things don’t happen in a vacuum. Character drives behavior. Petrino has never been known as a paragon of honesty and virtue.
