I think Talk Business's poll shows not a divide between conservatives and liberals, but one between urban and rural populations. A map of North Carolina's precincts that went for the ban on gay marriages also demonstrates the rural and urban divide.
Someone needs to get him to re-confirm that statement, then ask if he then feels that anyone over child-bearing age should NOT be allowed to marry since they obviously can't meet his only criteria for getting married.

Shirley our friend ES knows how Newspeak works. Just a couple of months ago Rmoney was saying GM and Detroit should be allowed to go under, to fail, go bankrupt. Then, this week Rmoney was claiming credit for rescuing Detroit. So it goes.

In 1996 Barrack H. Obama signed a statement in favor of LGBT equality then said 'well, maybe some it, like unions and such', then this week he once again supports equality.
In 2004 Chickenopolis elected a state senator who ran against any form of socialism. Jesus Jim knew Springdale needed to be spared from the clutches of Socialism. He won big time. Then in 2006 Springdale voters passed (by 13 votes) a city tax to build a professional baseball stadium to be owned by the city and leased to a private team and whose vendors would be allowed to serve the family-killer, beer, on city premises.
See. It's a matter of winds of change and all know 'baseball good, socialism bad.'
The Americam "pope" was not determined how Mittens should proceed on the "gay issue" as reported by CNN:

Washington (CNN) – Rick Santorum is urging Mitt Romney to "step up" and weaponize the issue of same-sex marriage.

"This is a very potent weapon, if you will, for Governor Romney if he's willing to step up and take advantage of a president who is very much out of touch with the values of America," Santorum said in an eye-opening live interview with Arkansas TV station KARK, a CNN affiliate.

Santorium is so full of hated, I wonder why anyone would consider him a "christian" (small "c" intended). He is sure destroying the market for swearter vests.
