What a beautifully written article. I wasn't much of an Osborne fan while he was alive. Clearly there are two sides to every story, and I appreciate you showing me the other side of this man (and his family).

Well Lawmatters I actually know firsthand about what was paid for at least one of these trials because as a young mom with 2 children and trying to pay for college I answered an ad in the paper and showed up for the cattle call he did for one of these trials. Once I was accepted and was told what I would get paid and I crunched the numbers I realized I would make more working at the mall job I had been offered. So no I can't speak for each and every trial but since you asked I felt I should let you know I am not some troll with a computer who is just badmouthing someone.Frankly the whole cattle call experience was creepy to say the least. Sorry if my experience with Mr. Osborne is different from yours. I can tell that you must have known him personally and are sensitive to negative comments.
My point with this article was really directed at Mr. Koon because I really couldn't tell if he was being complimentary to JO are was he passively aggressively showing the world that JO was a hoarder of things and also had some abnormal obession with his own image. Lawmatters you know what passive aggressive is right? Sure you do since that is the tactic you are using to discount my experience with JO. We don't all have warm fuzzy memories.
Really,

How much do you know about phase 1 drug trials? How much do you know about what J.O. paid the people who participated in his trials? Are you aware an executive from Stephens put himself in multiple trials after Stephens purchased the company, FOR THE MONEY.

Of course you are welcome to have your opinion about J.O. The internet is a wonderful place where anyone with an internet connection and a keyboard can say whatever they like. But to say J.O. paid "low wages" is silly and wrong. People fought to participate in the studies. They were well paid, and well cared for by J.O. and his team. They knew that he was at the facility for days at a time, usually 24 hours a day, sleeping in his office. It was J.O., or Mitzi themselves who often did the late night blood draws and testing.

J.O. made his millions by working harder than anyone I've ever even heard of. He made his millions in a wildly regulated industry, and never ever had a study shut down for non compliance or had his results questioned.

Perhaps you will make different life choices with the millions I'm sure you've worked so hard to earn. J.O. would have been very happy for your sucess.
I'm a little confused by this article. Is Mr. Koon saying Jennings did or didn't get into heaven? Jennings didn't give up any of his materialistic "stuff" so if I follow the logic that you have to to get into heaven then old Jennings didn't make the cut. The only thing that separated him from all his crap was death. Now his wife and daughter have been force to so yes hopfully they have learned the lesson about " the eye of the needle" parable.
Was also surprised when Koon said he was surprised about the condition of the property when he drove into the gates. REALLY? I for years have noticed how the compound looked run down and ghetto. Anyone else remember how the lights that asked God to bless George W had many bulbs burned out. It looked so bad and disrespectful.
Let's also not forget how he made his millions. He paid low wages to people to be human guinea pigs for drug trials.
In putting the Spin on the Jenn, Mr. Koon fails to acknowledge that he, Mr. Osborne had participated in the early trials of Viagra along with other local prominents, off the record and unrecorded, of couse. Also, Mr. Koon again fails to acknowledge that Marion Davies' vagina was the infamous "rosebud". Be it Kane or Hearst. This essay attempt is neither extrodinary nor poignant and will not get Mr. Koon any closer to MO.
