      <![CDATA[@luv2eat: Not a fan of LA. crab cakes, too much filler and not enough lump or backfin meat. There are no restaurants that I've experienced here that know how to make a proper Maryland crab cake. In my opinion the only crab cake to eat. I'm a little being a Maryland native.

@Little Rocker -- the hummus and tzatziki plate at The House is probably my favorite item on the menu.  Their hummus has a really good, nutty flavor to it.  Razorback buns at Damgoode are awesome too.

      <![CDATA[While the pimento cheese and egg salad at Capital Bar & Grill (both already mentioned) are probably my two favorite appetizers in the whole city, I also have to throw in the hummus & tzatziki plat at The House, cheese dip at Loca Luna; Gorgonzola dip at Dugan's, and Razorback Buns at Damgoode.

      <![CDATA[I really like the Corby Toast at Dugan's -- corned beef pulverized, mixed with cream cheese, spread on rye slices and broiled. Gooey goodness. Guacamole platter at Casa Manana (why they won't do a half-order puzzles me because the platter is enough for 8) and the best, silkiest white cheese dip, also at Casa Manana.

      <![CDATA[In addition to a few suggestions above I'd like to add the Pork Rillette at CBG (Sorry Kat, I know you can't try it) that is served with homemade pork rinds, the Wok Fired Edamame at Sushi Cafe (I've finally mastered the at-home version) and, at The Pantry, the sauteed mushrooms, which we recently recent discovered on their menu. They were delightful!<br>
