The "job" bills are actually a collection of anti-environmental, anti-consumer, and anti-regulation wish lists. None actually proposes to create a single job. They only "promise" to create an environment that will encourage job growth.

http://www.politifact.com/ohio/article/201…
Yes, there were Democratic majorities in the House and Senate for two years. Unfortunately, the Senate now operates as a super-majority body and the significant number of Blue Dogs Democrats in both houses (Lincoln, Pryor and Ross, for example) severely inhibited the ability of the President to pursue his agenda.

And your comments about the Occupy movement just Fox News talking points.

There are no less that 15 House Jobs Bills sitting in the senate that Harry Reid won't allow to the floor for a vote. Obama's budget's can't get one vote from Democrat!!! Obama has been to over 110 fundraisers in the last six months and not one meeting with his Jobs Council.
Obama had two years with a Democrat House and Senate.
I know you equate anyone who is not in lock step with your ideals as hating, but that is a childish self fulfilling prophecy of failure.
Obama publicly supported Occupy. If there was an example of hate, violence, crime and failure that was it.

That was a nail biter, Yossarian! That danged 14 minute time lag was frustrating, but the technology worked as designed. We are going to learn a lot from this, perhaps we might even confirm the existence of microbial life on Mars. SOMEthing organic is producing the methane traces that the older 'bots have detected and if the cause isn't organic in origin, then maybe we can learn from Mars how it's done and use that to make cleaner, abundant energy.

Incidents of "clerical errors" and offenders transferring to other troops sound suspiciously like a another bigoted organization, religious.

Defenders of BSA's expulsion of gay members, often pull "research" out of the asses of Arkansas Family Council's Jerry Cox's buddies. And, as in the adoption case, we know how scientific their research is not.

Here is a more reliable source, a study of 4000 admitted molesters:
http://www.childmolestationprevention.org/…
It's more than unfortunate that board members of organizations and lawmakers have been duped by bogus "research" and Faux news rather than understanding actual facts. But, again, facts don't matter and science is anti-christian.

And the ReTHUGlican garbage continues. If only the U S House had a majority of real Americans and not a bunch of know-nothing, anti-intellectual, my way or the highway, hate-mongers who want to depose a legally elected president rather than work with him to fix the country's economy. But with their "no compromise" attitude that they purport to represent the Founders, we would still be singing "God Save the Queen".

"Obama has made his campaign everything other than the economy, but the election is still about the economy."

If only the Republicans felt it was important. The House couldn't order a ham sandwich if you gave them 3 months. The fiscal cliff is looming and we will go over with the stupidity of the House. Maybe that is what it takes to wake people up to the total stupidity of the Tea Pot brain members they elected. If enough people have their variable rate mortgages go up because of another drop in the credit ratings, they will have screwed all of these people where maybe they can think-their billfold.

"The Christian bashing, bullying, occupy, were all designed smoke screens to try and hide the real issue. Obama has been bad for the economy."

No one is bashing Christians in this "semi-officially christian" country but there sure appear to be some who carry a book around but have no idea of what is in it, BF included. Christians have laws all over making them the semi-official religion including all of the blue laws and the alcohol laws. President Obama had nothing to do with the Occupy Movement. They were as much upset with the government for not locking up a bunch of Wall Streeters who should have been and not breaking up the large banks. Wall Street will do it again and all the American people will do is bend over and hand them the Vaseline. It would be nice if the pseudo-Christians would quit acting like the Taliban, trying to shove their theology down everyone's throat in the guise of law. There are a lot of Christians who put their religion into action and don't spend their time deriding anyone who doesn't bow before their cult of religion!

Obviously, one of our over-educated nuts attacked a Sikh Temple this morning of a very peaceful religion. We don't know the reasons yet but it will be interesting since we had a female congress critter in a neighboring state who professes to be "christian" starting a witch hunt about anyone who looks Arabic trying to take over government and install sharia law. There were enouigh stupid people in Oklahoma to put it in their constitution in the last election but I doubt there are any who actually would want to live in Oklahoma and the attacker in Oklahoma City was a home-grown white male.

cbb, maybe this is a point you would want to take into consideration:

"A regressive tax is one that is paid disproportionately by low-income people. Lottery supporters often misunderstand—perhaps on purpose—the meaning of regressivity. If a low-income person pays more tax than an upper-income person, as a percentage of his income, then the tax is regressive. Some lottery agencies and associations claim to study regressivity when in fact they focus simply on rates of participation—how many people in each income bracket play the lottery, and how often, which has nothing to do with regressivity. They cite studies showing that the poor spend less money on lotteries than the middle class and wealthy do, but this also is not a true measure of regressivity since it does not take into account money spent as a percentage of income. They claim that regressivity is an issue only with regard to taxes, not with voluntary activities like lotteries, and they are content to rely on meaningless statistics that show, the poor play the lottery less often than the middle or upper class in certain states, or that the majority of a state’s lottery consumers are middle-income. What good are these figures if we don’t know how much people spend—and how much they earn? $500 worth of lottery tickets in one year may be a drop in the bucket to an upper-income person, but it is a significant portion of a poor person’s income."
Gas prices? It is more than unusual but they are significantly cheaper here in the Land of Opportunity. And signs proclaiming "not ethanol" or "Pure gas" are a big part of the equation. Mandated ethanol *really* sucks. Lowers the gas mileage and now we're paying for drought supply corn. Saw gas for 3.35 in more than a couple places. It's 3.59 and rising at home. I did glare at the power company truck driver with the Let's Frack bumper sticker. And from south to the Missouri almost all the way to Conway it was greener than I expected. Lots of stress on the trees, and it began to be noticeably drier along about Silver Hill Goat Farm. Plus last night's front cooled things off, but no rain where I live. Didn't break 90 until south of the Buffalo. Pushing 100 going through Conway, but I don't know what it is up here on the mountain.

Conwegian, we don't do the market on Tuesdays or Thursdays-just Saturdays. You lose the day before (or even 2 days before) market day getting ready and if you do all three market days, it would be constantly work the garden, except Sundays. While it is my son who does the garden and selling, it is my truck and one 4:30 morning a week is enough. And, frankly, I am like mountaingirl and while I remember summers here, I have gotten acclimated to A/C and the 40 acres aren't.

Yip, NormaB, your "insider" pretty well described the astrological phenomenon of
SEVEN squares of Uranus and Pluto, a revolutionary aspect. The square began in June and will continue into 2015.

The last time this occurred in the 1930s there was a revolution in government called the New Deal. It was a huge change.

There were blood baths in the streets due to labor seeking its rights as concentrated bosses fought with armed guards against those seeking a decent wage and working day.

And there was the insurrection inspired and produced by Wall Street led by retired General Smedley Butler in the early 1930s when Uranus was squaring Pluto. It was a scheme that amassed a 1200 man army to take over the White House.
Smedley spilled the beans. Demo Congressmen took investigative reports to FDR who quickly reviewed them and remarked, "I'll keep these in mind. You never know when some of these men (Wall Streeters) will be useful." That ended what could have been a long prosecution.

But today's police state will quickly and decidedly put down insurrections of any type. Yet, we must allow our 2nd Amendment folks their fantasies.

So food or water poisoning maybe be the extremists only options.
