I've seen no disconnect in the message of "the left" in their support of gay marriage. <br>
<br>
Their message remains the same, whether to white Christians, black Christians or American Muslims. <br>
<br>
Marriage is first and foremost a civil affair. All married couples must register at a courthouse and sign a marriage document. Any formal religious rites are secondary and do not involve the government. Loving, committed gay couples simply want the same right to walk into the same courthouse and sign the same marriage document. <br>
<br>
That's it. No big deal.
