I've always thought what's REALLY presidential is showing up in crotch-enhanced fake flyboy gear to give a "victory" speech. When no victory has been won. And when you didn't even serve as a real flyboy in the real war going on during your college years, because your family's money bought your way out of military action: http://www.alternet.org/story/89686/the_10….

That's what I think is REALLY presidential.

Well, that and sitting and chewing your lip and staring into space as you're reading "The Pet Goat" while buildings are tumbling to the ground in New York and the Pentagon is on fire: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pet_Goat

Now that's REAL presidential behavior.

Also, the bearhug had been cleared beforehand with security.

mag and I noticed at our kid's junior high band concerts starting in the early 2000s that people don't know how to behave any more. When I met Lady Bird Johnson back in 1964 I was a little guy and she was bigger than me, but not a cell in my body thought about lifting her off the ground.

I've seen a few other Presidents from afar and didn't think about lifting them off the ground either. If I had met George W. Bush I probably would have thought about knocking him to the ground, but I'm pretty sure if I ever come face to face with a US President in the future....I'll shake his or her hand if offered, but I will not lift them off the ground.

Now...who knows, maybe this pizza guy's main trick in life is lifting people off the ground? I guess he wanted to impress Obama? Or maybe he wanted to show he was a bigger man? Or maybe he's just wacky...many in the pizza business are, ya know.

I think I'll sleep well tonight. The picture didn't traumatize me too badly. But I sure wish Americans would learn how to behave, even more I wish Americans would learn how to vote smarter..............
Loving it that the Dems are getting a bounce in the polls and donations. I think cause the truth of what the repugs really stand for is coming to the fore. Essentially only good for mittens and the 1% and screw the rest. Their theme is, "wait till I get elected then I'll tell you what I'm going to do". "Meanwhile my money stays in the Bahammas, blind trust you know". And "oh gosh I need another elevator for the presidential limo."

Here's an example of what I think is not presidential. It's making a little movie to show at some press corps dinner in which the president makes a big show of looking for non-existent WMD's under the Oval Office desk. The lies told about those WMD's led to a war which killed or maimed for life thousands of American GI's. He was their Commander in Chief. He made a joke about the reason he gave for their sacrifice. Not to mention hundreds of thousands of Iraqis.
