er hires Stone Ward”

When you work for a public organization, what are the rules by which the employee and civil service operate? Last Saturday, the Public was invited to a presentation titled "Hearing the
Voice of the Artist" at a meeting in the local art museum. So when the folks started talking about the Tony Smith's "Grasshopper" that was given in memory of Cherry, the panel discourse was for the most part verbiage by the curator industry. The artist got the inspiration for his works from the coal hoppers and in a strange way, represents at a super large scale the lattice structure of crystals as I see it....organic and physical chemistry that Dr. Teague used to try to explain to the poor biology students from the other side of the Conway campus with the funny pecan shells. But hold on, the story gets funnier, in that when they showed a slide of mitosis, and left out meiosis, while trying to articulate the structure of popular terms such as "organic"....well, as a Hillbilly, Karr Shannon style, I had to ask some questions about the physiology of how we realize the gift of life before going to Rosh the next evening! There is something about growing up in the Ark, that just begs for the Lights of Truth to be realized. Mary could be good, better or best! But then what would Martha say? Or Elizabeth?

If the 3 laid off Arts Center marketing positions will be replaced by one new position (maybe one of those 3, maybe not), will Stone Ward be adding 2 or more net full-time people to their staff to do the marketing previously done by Arts Center staff?

With the outsourcing of the marketing folks and grounds maintenance (how many jobs there?), will the Arts Center also outsource donations from patrons who fund everything? I ask as a long-time donor to the Ark. Arts Center.
