Sounds a propos, at least to those who support the death penalty. Like Duh'rr and his Bible-believing bloated bully buddies...

What he doesn't admit is the role that big money played in the GOP gains--much of the cash from out-of-staters like the Koch brothers and other Rich Friends of Teresa Oelke.

And of course he didn't need mention the role of the mega-churches and their envious junior partners in church-state miscegenation, the (mini-?)churches with only one building...

But even though Arkansas' demographic transition away from its traditional, predominantly rural, conservative white Christian dominance is still in its early stages relative to other, more urban, states, the state GOP continues to follow its reactionary political trajectory at its own peril. Especially here in NWA where Latinos are fast becoming an organizable minority. It's only a matter of time before Springdale, Fayetteville and Rogers have Latino representation on their city councils. It may have to wait until the next decennial census before there's sufficient Latino voting strength to support and sustain a de facto Latino seat in the state House.

And of course the GOP will ultimately hoist themselves on their own political petards once their constituents come to realize that Obamacare was not the end of the world that the GOP warned them of. And that may end up swinging Arkansas -- and some other Southern states with their changing demographics -- back into relatively solid Democrat hands.

Someone pointed out that it's time for progressives to take back the Arkansas Dem Party. I hope that happens. But until it does I'm still voting Green.

Who are you referring to? Loy Mauch, Jon Hubbard, and Charlie Fuqua (the Three Stooges) all lost, which speaks volumes for the voters in those districts.
