      <![CDATA[Why did the judge not kick that juror, when he had an alternate ready to step in?  That is why you pick alternates.  Was the judge pro-prosecution, reluctant to kick someone off who said he already had decided the issue, before the evidence was in?  Only the judge knows his motives, but he is costing the state another trial.  Perhaps, just perhaps, he should be disqualified on the new trial.
