Well that's part of the problem, was it your tax dollars paying a policeman to work a private establishment, or was it a privately hired individual that gets to turn into a police officer whenever it suits him?

And I'd have not problem with Lt Hudson making that arrest.....or more appropriately calling an on-duty officer (sense he is working in a private capacity) to deal with an obnoxious drunk.

...........but using your fist to bash a drunk in the face five times is not part of a responsible escalation of force.

This city's police force ought to be required to have both a camera and voice recorder running anytime they are in uniform.

Lt. Hudson, take your punishment like a man. If you were smart, you'd use the time off to reflect and learn from this and come back a better officer.

I don't know what Chris Erwin was expecting to happen when he crashed a party and then challenged and cursed a police officer who was simply doing what he is paid to do. It sounds like Lt. Hudson gave Erwin more that sufficient opportunity to comply with his direction to leave. And once a police officer tells you, "You are under arrest," it's not a time to argue or curse, or attempt to avoid being arrested. It's time to fully comply with the officer's orders. I for one, don't want my tax dollars paying police officers who ignore or try to appease jerks who conduct themselves as described by Lt. Hudson in his report. You want to act like that, then I want a take-control police officer like Lt. Hudson responding. And if it's "Down goes Frazier, down goes Frazier," then, oh well, maybe you shouldn't have been acting like a total asshole. Show me a police officer who doesn't receive any complaints against him or her, and I'll show you a police officer who is probably not doing his or her job well. Law enforcement is often not a pleasant thing to observe.

I don't go to restaurants that have multiple incidents of fights.

Either they are attracting the wrong clientele or their bouncers are out of control.

Don't like to mix with either.

I like a more relaxed eating experience.
