The Tea Party types were elected because their mailers all said they were going to stop President Obama and the home-schooled clueless have no idea of the difference between the state government which can affect them every day and Washington which couldn't care less about the Arkansas Klown Kar Brigade.

They want to cut expenses?, how about starting with that illegal extraction for expenses or milage or per diem, none of which are in the Constituition. If you want more money, put it in the form of a Constitutional Amendment and see how the people of the state appreciate your services.

Senator Rupert can hold his breath until he turns blue but does he take the "long route" from Conway to Little Rock like one of his predecessors did so he gets illegal milage for that 25 mile drive? And if he can do it, why can't every state worker using their car for their job get the same? The state has a fixed schedukle in DFA for the "milage" between every two cities in the state so the employees don't have to keep track which is what the elected people should be allowed to use. Nothing more than people who actually work for a living.

I just have to wonder if Mark Martin, David Sanders and Davy Carter cut each other's hair?

DBI: I'm more worried about the brains (or lack thereof) of any Republican in elective office than their haircuts, but seeing how bad some of their hair is, I agree it makes you wonder! And, by this time next year we'll KNOW we've been super screwed!

We're going to see a BUNCH of crazy bills get filed during this upcoming legislative session. The big question in my mind is how many will get passed into law, and will Boss Beebe have the balls to veto the ones that are harmful to our state?

I dunno, DBI. It sorta looks like a case of "bed hair" to me. Let's give the young man a chance. I don't know anything about him, but I'm hoping for the best.

I'm just sooo happy to have a speaker who doesn't look like a knuckle-dragging mouth-breather.

My son has cut his own hair since college. He keeps it short because of cycling. Anyway, the women are all over him so home haircuts aren't cramping his style.

Senator Rapert must be furious at this vote in the House chamber, after his earlier denouncement of Davy Carter and his supporters as "traitors", the worst crime an American can commit against his country.

Treason is a rather serious charge for Rapert to make against members of his own party. Why does he consider Carter to be a traitor? According to Rapert's financial disclosure reports, Carter's opponent, Terry Rice, gave $500 to Rapert. Carter apparently did not contribute to Rapert; therefore, he is a "traitor" - according to Rapert.
