The snails left some to be desired. The pate was fantastic. The only way it could have been better is if they had wrapped it in bacon before they baked it. The seasoning was perfect, though.
I will admit to being a weirdo, though. And in the vein, anybody have recommendations for some good chitterlings in this town?
Interesting thing, when I write about non-burger, non-cupcake stuff (like that Terry's post or my post of a few weeks ago on Vieux Carre), nobody seems to comment. And the other stuff gets responses. So if you want more diverse posts, give us feedback when we do them.

I actually thought about you, Cecil, as I posted the picture of that cupcake. "Cecil is going to hate this," I thought, "but I made no promises about posting pictures." One day, you and I will need to meet up and split a cupcake, I'm buying. I will admit I may have to break my promise regarding "no burgers for the rest of the year," as Micheal and I have something in the cooker we'll probably put up next week...but after that, NO MORE!

I only went to the airport Homer's once and found it to be about the best. I've now tried the Rodney Parham one and it's not very good in my opinion. From those who go to Homer's a lot, is that accurate? Also, you might want your guests to try Bobby's Country Kitchen but beware the portions are large. (I thought we were through writing and picturing cupcakes on Eat Arkansas!)
Agree. I think, in both instances, the newer locations are more convenient, but lose atmosphere and a bit of quality. I suppose it all depends on how adventurous your family feels at the time.

Or, if you find yourself on your way to Scott, just keep on going until you hit Keo, and then you can go to Charlotte's and have some PIE! Mmmmmmm...pie...

Still recovering from last week, so nothing to report this week, but my recommendation for deep fried Southern soul food would be Cotham's (LR is more convenient, but Scott has the atmosphere), David's Family Kitchen, or Homer's.

David's, Cotham's LR, and Homer's Original are lunch only, but Homer's West does dinner and Cotham's Scott is open for dinner on Friday and Saturday's. At least, according to their website...
