Aren't these the same bozos who wouldn't let an Appropriation Bill to spend 1.5 million so the state would receive around $75 million in federal dollars pass during the 2011 Legislative Session because they were so certain Obamacare would be declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court? What the hell happened with that? Mitt happened, and now the AR Republicans have to actually lead instead of just sitting on the sidelines and bitching about how things are going. Meanwhile, Obamacare remains the law of the land.

John Burris, et al, the ball is now in your court. Let's see what you've got!

I'm hoping that the Republicans screw around and end up letting the Feds do it. I'm thinking that would be MUCH better for the people that will be covered with Medicaid.

Who would want to have to deal with the rules we know the Republicans are going to put in to demean, harass and generally make it painful for those that can't earn enough to get on the exchanges? You know the Republicans will make it as horrible as they can, because they hate the poor and elderly, especially the girls and women they want to force pregnancy and birthing on.

Any little league coach will tell you the best way to shut up the player's dad that bitches about everything, make him infield coach. That will shut him up. Then he will have the other player's parents calling him at home wanting their little Johnny to get playing time.

Burris has a lot of nerve. It wasn't Beebe who objected to having the state run its own health insurance exchange and control our own destiny, it was the ReTHUGS in the legislature. Sorry, John, you can't change the facts or the past.

You guys played a game of craps with the future health care needs of a quarter of a million Arkansans at stake and crapped out. Now are you finally ready to do the people's business? Damn sore loser, Burris.

Frankly, if every legislator got their health care needs met through the same health insurance exchange, they would be sure the exchange worked and worked well.

It's a rather sad commentary to think a cocky hick from Harrison, a kid living off his daddy's money, could shape the healthcare outcomes for hundreds of thousands of Arkansas residents while he is allowed or "entitled" to a grand healthcare plan paid for by the taxpayers of Arkansas, many of them well below the poverty line.

You wonder when small town folks living in old homes, rent houses and apartments might catch on? It's for damn sure their preachers will never mention it.

Inyourdreams - you can already deduct medical insurance premiums on both federal and state returns to the extent that total medical expenses exceed 7.5% of your adjusted gross income. As for writing them off as a tax, the arkansas tax code doesnt allow deductions for federal tax payments like some other state do so the answer to your question would be a no.

It's not certain yet whether Arkansans will be able to claim insurance tax credits under the federally-administered system -

http://news.investors.com/071712-618386-ir…

If the courts rule against tax credits in federally-administered states, it's safe to predict a huge uproar in those states. If enough states are in federal administration with this predicament, it could undermine ObamaCare.
