NO safeguards are in place to prevent non-citizens from registering.

I think that Voter ID - OR - Voter verification is REQUIRED. Strange how 109% of registered voters voted in one precinct during the Presidential Election. Strange..but true yet it wasn't challenged.

How many people say they are Citizens when they are not. You need a birth certificate to get a driver's license, more to get a Passport yet anyone willing to say "yes" can vote.

When I called the Voter's Registration Office to ask what ID was necessary, I was told a Driver's License would be fine. The clerk thought that if you had a Driver's License, that you were a Citizen.. WRONG .. Either Driver's Licenses need to show you ARE or are NOT a Citizen, or a birth certificate should be required to register to vote.

Voter suppression .. that's ridiculous. You either want to vote or you don't and the need to prove you are entitled to vote should be appreciated by all "legal" voters so they know that voter fraud is not affecting the outcome of a vote.

Somehow, either party gets it screwed up, there's lots of blaming and saying this should never happen then, it happens again. Call it an extended Bella Vista moment.

Overcounting, undercounting, running out of ballots or voting machines that don't work.
I thought perhaps there was a secret plan to inject stuff into the water supply about two weeks before every election. But they have a better plan. Put people on the Election Commission with no idea or experience in how to conduct elections, have them evaluate election machinery they know nothing about and take the word of vendors as gospel.
No review, no research is no problem in Benton County.

Eureka - Yes, if the w.c. is your favorite place to vote, that will be possible in the future - but I'll probably just vote at my desk.

The hope is increase voter participation by making the process easier. And if you look at the demographics of smartphone owners, it would be an attractive method for the younger generation of eligible voters. But it will need biometric authentication for security.

The fingerprint scanner will also be a deterrent against phone robberies that are plaguing Little Rock lately. There's not much point in stealing a phone that won't turn on without the owners fingerprint.

Great, rad c... citizens could vote while sitting on their toilet. Maybe smart phones could make a flushing sound each time a D or R vote is submitted/dooms the country.

No machine should ever process or count a vote. For those who manage the code will control everything. The mere lack of online privacy rights/protections alone should negate the possibility of online voting.

Once again we have Republicans leading the way... and no real response to them by democrats... except to keep repeating what republicans say/want. Which is nothing but complicity at best... a promise to "compromise" end up with what republicans want, most likely. Demos are about a 25 percent party. Just like Republicans. Neither wants to earn votes from the other (roughly) 50 percent who either don't vote or vote third party. They like things the way they are... fooling many, representing the very rich.

Voting should be a right for all. And the country needs to amend the constitution on many levels in this respect. Abolishing the electoral college, establishing multi-pary proportional representation, establishing public party through campaign finance only.... there are many ways to improve upon our system... yet demo's refuse to utilize even these types of suggestions as mere talking points in any form of rebuttal to republicans. Quite telling.

The future of voting will be with smartphones and biometric authentication of voter ID. But it's obviously a few years too early to enact any laws on that, and I don't see an urgent reason to pass any new voter ID laws in this session.
